One Day Academy was founded in 2005 by David Swarbrick to provide homeschool parents the support they wanted to homeschool through high school.  The first location is now known as the Georgetown campus of ODA. This “trial year” was a way for us to see “If this is something God is blessing.” God indeed blessed this effort at Georgetown, and in 2006, we added the Lakeline, Bastrop, Round Rock, and South Austin campuses.

Since 2005, ODA will have grown to 13 campuses in 2013-2014, including an on-line campus. We serve 1500+ homeschool familes enriching the education of 1100+ students.

We recognize that students flourish under the best teachers. One Day Academy’s goal is to have the best faculty in town. Along with being foremost in their respective fields, all of our department heads have written and published their own curriculum and gladly share it with the other teachers in their departments. ODA’s faculty is known also for their own personal love for the Lord and willingness to serve Him in other settings outside of school.

ODA strives to equip its students not just academically, but spiritually. If we  could instill in our students one thing, it would be “to passionately invest in their calling and to chase after what they think God is going to do through them in the next forty years of their lives.”

All the success of ODA belongs to God. “When you have good kids working on solid academics with unwavering family support, the sky’s the limit.”
