Does my child have to take every subject while at One Day Academy?

No. Since One Day Academy supports homeschooling families, parents still decide which subjects will be taught at home and which may require an outside teacher. Therefore, parents may opt for their student to take a single class in a subject that neither wants to tackle, or arrange a full two-day class schedule at two different campuses. As always, the choice remains yours.

Do I have to secure materials for each class my child takes at One Day Academy?

Possibly. Each teacher has different policies regarding their required texts and other materials. While some teachers provide all materials for a fee, others may either ask parents to acquire their own or provide different options. Contacting each teacher by mid-summer will give ample time to secure the necessary materials by the time class starts.

Do I have to register with One Day Academy if I have already registered with each teacher?

Yes. One Day Academy requires an official record of every student in each class. Doing so allows us to fulfill our administrative responsibilities to the teachers including insurance, advertising, rent, and maintenance. To this end, One Day Academy also charges an annual family registration fee, which then grants families access to all teachers at every campus.
