On Oct. 1st, at the ODA Central Texas College Fair, Mrs. Terry will be giving a presentation on “Preparing your High School Student for College.” The college fair will be held at Shoreline Church Gymnasium, 15201 Burnet Road, Austin, TX 78728, 9:30-11:30 am. This special presentation will begin at 11:30. Please join us to meet with college representative and learn more about the college transition process.

Join us for a 4 part series of hands-on workshops where we help you discover your DESIGN through professional testing and exercises, including: Personality, Interests, Values, & Skills.
Learn what majors, colleges & careers “fit” how God made you?
Students must tackle the dread of learning these life-skills! In this 5 part series of workshops, students will learn about positively presenting themselves to college admissions boards and employers through preparing related documents and practicing interviewing.
Round Rock Capstone Campus:

Non-ODA students may participate. Their family must additionally register with ODA and pay a $15 annual facilities & liability fee.

These workshops will be taught by Becky Terry, College Transition and Career Advisor for One Day Academy and of Career Path Advising. Becky is certified to administer and interpret The Myers-Briggs® and the Strong Interest Inventory ® assessment tools. For the “How are you Wired” workshops she will be using the Strong Profile, College Edition, plus Strong and MBTI® Career Report Administration. This specific report is geared for those just embarking upon their career and provides points for further research into potential careers.

Mrs. Terry has provided guidance in career counseling, education, and team-building in a variety of settings over the past 25 years. She has been trained and actively utilizes a number of career and interpersonal instruments in both individual and group venues. She has taught numerous courses and workshops on career development topics to home school students, as well as other high school and college student groups.

Through Career Path Advising, Mrs. Terry also offers individual consultations including: self assessment tools and feedback, job search services, career and academic advising, resume and other professional correspondence critiques, interview preparation, and mock interviews and feedback.
