Purpose:

Student will learn:
•  Basic sewing machine function and safety
•  Fashion design/sketching development
•  Cotton: from Dirt to Shirt
•  Fibers & fabrics
•  Fiber content & care labeling
•  Garment construction
•  Fashion Show development
•  Student will produce a portfolio of 1st semester work.

Curriculum / Materials:

Sewing machines, sewing tools & folder with class handouts will be provided. Student is responsible for purchasing fabric and trims for each project
