Athletics and Academics
Academics are unquestionably important. Without readin’, writin’, and ‘rithmetic, we would still be living in the Dark Ages. But on the other hand, a rocket scientist isn’t much help if he’s always sick in bed with health problems.
Enjoying Physical Activity
Athletics at One Day Academy seek to prepare students for an active, healthy, well-balanced life. We focus on four general areas: Physical activity, strength and stamina, knowledge for a healthy lifestyle, and an appreciation of sports. There are a myriad of ways to achieve these ends. Many are not team-based. With an eye to an active adult life, we keep our classes fun and our students active. We envision our students, ten years down the road, joining in some "pick up" games at the park, not trying out for the NFL.
Healthy Kids, Healthy Adults
Personal health is a vital concern in America today. Fortunately, there are many fun ways to get fit. And when students are in good health, they get better grades in the academics, while gaining self-esteem and self-confidence.
