Process

This course is designed to teach you to read ancient Greek as quickly, as thoroughly as possible, and have fun at the same time. After learning the alphabet, the students will begin reading stories and passages with me as their mentor. This is an exciting way to learn the language in the context of the ancient Greek
culture. Important grammatical points will be given in small units. Brief passages from Herodotus, Homer, Thucydides, and The New Testament will also be read in class. I will include brief lectures on the history of the alphabet, mythology, etymology and semantics.

Prerequisite

No background in Latin is needed

Suggested Age

12 – 18
The young student is welcome.
