WHY
As much as One Day Academy desires to help support every family in the endeavor of homeschooling their children, we recognize that not every student is a good fit for the calling and community that is One Day Academy. We recognize that we exist as part of a broader educational landscape supporting the homeschool community, and that we are not the only option which is available to families who have chosen to homeschool their children.
WHO
One Day Academy ascribes to the following values in defining admissions policies and practices.
- We value Jesus Christ, and families who operate with a stated desire to serve Him, and who raise children with a goal of growing up to serve Him.
- We value the Holy Bible as the only sure and trustworthy source regarding the identity, character, and desires of God.
- We value academic pursuit, as an activity shared by parents and children, and as a customary means of God preparing His people for their calling in the world.
- We value God’s intention that His children grow up in places of physical, emotional, and spiritual safety.
- We value Biblical truths with regards to marriage, family, gender, authority, purity, and calling.
WHAT
One Day Academy requires all new families to participate in an interview with admissions personnel as a part of applying to participate in One Day Academy, and before beginning to attend classes. Interviews will be available throughout the Austin and surrounding areas, at times which will be posted on every campus.
Because One Day Academy exists to help children glorify God and enjoy Him forever, we reserve the right to deny admission to any student whose history is too troublesome, whose values are too different, or whose presence on campus will be too disruptive. As much as we embrace faith, righteousness, and purity as commitments of our students, we intentionally do not embrace disruption, defiance, and darkness.
