Process
This course takes the high school Latin student on a journey through classical literature as we study the works of Horace, Caesar, Cicero, Livy, Catullus, Pliny and more. This course covers the first half of Wheelock’s Latin. While learning the subtleties of grammar and etymology, students gain a deep understanding of English grammar and logical thinking. Each textbook chapter is accompanied by a story from Greek mythology to translate. Latin is akin to verbal math and is an excellent preparation for those pursing future careers in law, medicine, science or any of the romance languages.
