Curriculum
Gileskirk is a rigorous four-year preparatory study of the history, literature and worldviews of western civilization, based on the lectures of Dr. George Grant, using the time honored classical approach of Moral Philosophy.
Modernity focuses on the 19th and 20th centuries beginning with their roots in the Enlightenment and the French Revolution.

Process
Students will:
- learn to take notes on fast-paced lectures
- read 4 - 6 works of literature from or about the period
- memorize two pieces for recitation
- write 2 - 4 short papers
- prepare a creative project to present to the class
Along the way, we listen to all kinds of music, look at maps, significant works of art and architecture.
Parents proctor weekly essay-focused tests which are graded by the instructor.
