Prerequisite

Intermediate Writing II or approval through entrance essay.

Purpose

Students will practice the 5 paragraph essay format, and write a ten-page research paper. Second semester involves reading of short works and writing a literary analysis, a timed college essay, college application essay, etc. Homework and library work required outside of class.
