Purpose

Students are lead into the world of Grammar as they master skills in recognizing the eight parts of speech, complete sentences and sentence types, capitalization and punctuation, homonyms, synonyms, antonyms, and more. The students will enhance their grammar skills as they locate and identify various parts of speech in diagramming sentences.

Students are introduced to many genres of writing, i.e. metaphors, idioms, similes, wordless, limericks, and more, to include the writing process to write a book report. The children will learn to find the writer within themselves through various fun writing activities.
