Intro to Word, Excel & PowerPoint for Teens
Advanced Word, Excel 7 PowerPoint for Teens

For students ages 13-18. We will work with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint to create business letters, tables, budgets, slide presentations and more using the built-in functions of these powerful programs – and have fun while we’re doing it! Laptop computers provided or bring your own!

Workshop cost: $150

Computer Apps Workshop for KidsBoy with laptop

For students ages 8-13. We will have fun creating a different project each week using the Microsoft Office suite of applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher): a friendly letter, a greeting card, a PowerPoint Presentation, and even a Web page! Laptop computers provided or bring your own!

Workshop cost: $150

Keyboarding 

For students ages 8-18. We will have fun learning to type correctly on a computer keyboard. With incentives like games, prizes, and competitions, you child will be excited to type faster than ever! There will be homework, as Keyboarding is more like a sport where one trains muscles to respond automatically. Laptop computers provided or bring your own!

Web Design for Teens: HTML & CSS

For students ages 14-18. Learn how the Internet works and how to control it. We will learn basic XHTML code and CSS to create basic websites. Then we will use website builders to create fast & functional sites – all in a fun learning environment! Laptop computers provided or bring your own!

Computer Programming with Alice

For students ages 14-18. We will use Alice 2.0 to learn the basics of computer programming. Alice is an innovative 3D programming environment that makes it easy to create an animation for telling a story, playing an interactive game, or a video to share on the web. Alice is a teaching tool for introductory computing. It uses 3D graphics and a drag-and-drop interface to facilitate a more engaging, less frustrating first programming experience. Alice 2.2 is FREE to download to use in class & at home. Laptop computers provided or bring your own!
