ABOUT ODA
A Word From Our Director
Hello, and welcome to the website of One Day Academy. I am glad that you found us. If you are a homeschool parent, there are a few things I would like you to know. We are here to support you as you endeavor to raise your child. We are not here to force our agenda on you and your children. Nor are we here to squeeze everyone into the same mold. We are here to provide the things you are looking for: choice, flexibility, quality, and enjoyment. We have wonderful teachers who love the Lord and are solid practitioners of their subject matter. We have strong curriculum which is both clear and effective at well preparing each child for success at the university level. And we provide a multitude of events and ministry opportunities to allow you to choose just what you are seeking for your child.
Like you, we want your child to grow to adulthood to love the Lord and be a part of His presence in a world which so desperately needs Him. If he or she wants to be an engineer, we want him or her to intimately know the mind of the One who created the world and the principles which govern it. If a doctor, we want him or her to serve people with a compassion which reflects the heart of Jesus. If a teacher, we want him or her to teach in a way which inspires people to seek the Lord for themselves. Whatever he or she desires to pursue, let it be done with a right attitude, and for the right reason.
Contrary to what the world would say, we understand that knowing the One who created the world gives Christians a distinct advantage in the pursuit of learning. Your child has a chance to walk every day with the One who created all things. Your child has the chance to learn from a position of security and desire because he or she knows the love of a God who only has good things for His children. Your child has a chance to pursue education for His glory and not to fill his or her own emptiness. Like everything else we do, the way we learn should be significantly and positively impacted by our faith in and knowledge of Jesus.
In the end, we know that children like yours will bring faith, hope, and love wherever their calling takes them. Your child might discover a final cure for cancer. Your child might develop a voice in a debate about science, ethics, or political theory, and be able to speak His timeless truth into the ever shifting sands of relativism, and the empty sadness of a self-preoccupied world. Your child might even become a great preacher who leads thousands to follow the Lord and help nourish His people with the word. Whatever he or she desires to pursue, let it be done with skill, passion, and excellence which reflects the One who calls each one by name.
Thank you for visiting our site and learning about our ministry. May God bless you as you raise your children. And may God bless your children as they learn to take their place in His world.
Sincerely,
Vision of ODA

Every successful enterprise has a vision, and your home school is no exception. After you take time to reflect on progress made, then practically plan for the future.
Ask yourself:
-
Can I in good conscience sign-off on ODA’s Statement of Faith?
-
What is my family’s monthly budget for classes?
-
Is one of my children a higher priority than others this year?
-
Is one subject a higher priority than others this year?
-
How will One Day Academy classes blend with my family’s other commitments?

Statement of Faith for ODA
We believe in
-
academic pursuit, as an activity shared by parents and children, and as a customary means of God preparing His people for their calling in the world.
-
Jesus Christ, and families who operate with a stated desire to serve Him, and who raise children in the hope that they will grow up to serve Him.
-
God’s intention that His children grow up in places of physical, emotional, and spiritual safety.
-
Biblical truths with regards to marriage, family, gender, authority, purity, and calling.
We believe
-
that God has revealed Himself to be a triune God who exists co-eternally and co-equally in three persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. (Luke 3:21-22; Matt. 28:19)
-
that Jesus Christ is both fully human and fully God (Phil 2:5-8; Heb. 4:15).
-
that He is the express image of the invisible God (Col 1:15; Heb. 1:3).
-
that He is to be worshipped, praised and adored, not only for what He has done, but for who He is – the Son of God and God the Son (Rev 5:8).
-
that Jesus is the eternal God that took on the form of a man when He was conceived and born to a virgin (John 1:14; Matt 1:18; Isaiah 7:14).
-
that the Holy Bible is God-breathed, useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness. (2 Tim 3:16)
We believe specific Biblical truths with regards to
-
Authority – God is sovereign over His created order. (Psalm 103:19, Psalm 135:5-6))
-
Gender – biologically and emotionally set by God, male and female (Genesis 1:27, Mark 10:6)
-
Calling – established by God, for everyone (Eph. 4:7-8, Romans 12:6)
-
Sexual purity – Intimacy is to be only within marriage (Hebrews 13:4, I Thess. 4:3))
-
Marriage – intended for one man and one woman for life (I Cor. 6:9, Romans 1:27-28)
