Latin 1 is an interactive class which teaches Latin grammar and vocabulary in a systematic and approachable way using Memoria Press First Form Latin. Memoria Press uses a “grammar-first” approach, which facilitates mastery and retention, and provides many opportunities to make connections to English vocabulary and grammar. Translation and parsing, common Latin sayings, English derivatives, historical background, and oral work are part of every class. Memoria Press First Form Latin is sufficiently rigorous for college prep as well as easy to use for homeschoolers. This course can be applied as a foreign language high school credit.
