Texas Graduation Requirements
(Updated August 2023)
The following courses are required for graduation in the state of Texas by students in public school. Home schooled students are not obligated to fulfill these requirements. According to HSLDA:
"Homeschools must be conducted in a bona fide manner, using a written curriculum consisting of reading, spelling, grammar, math and a course in good citizenship; no other requirements apply."
Although the following are not legal requirements, we need to realize, at the very least, what public schools expect from their graduates, especially since it is those very students with whom our children will someday compete for entrance into universities and colleges.
